At AK Furniture Ltd, we stand behind the quality of our custom-made furniture. This Refund Policy outlines our terms regarding refunds, returns, and cancellations.


1. Refund Eligibility

Due to the custom-made and bespoke nature of most of our furniture, refunds are limited. You may be eligible for a refund in the following circumstances:

- The item arrived damaged or defective
- The item does not match the agreed specifications or design
- The item was not delivered as promised
- You cancel your order before production begins

Refunds are not available for changes of mind or preference after production has commenced.


2. Damage and Defect Claims

If your furniture arrives damaged, defective, or differs from the product description:

- Inspect the item immediately upon delivery
- Document the damage or defect with clear photographs
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and description
- We will review your claim and determine the appropriate resolution

Refunds, replacements, or repairs will be offered based on the severity of the issue.


3. Refund Process

Once your refund claim is approved:

- We will provide return shipping instructions
- The item must be returned in the condition received (for defects) or in original packaging
- Upon receipt and inspection of the returned item, the refund will be processed
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10-14 business days

Please note that return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item is defective or our error.


4. Cancellation Policy

Order Cancellations Before Production:
If you wish to cancel your order before production begins, you must contact us within 48 hours of order confirmation. A full refund (minus a 10% administrative fee) will be issued.

Order Cancellations After Production Begins:
Once production has started, cancellations cannot be accepted, and the order must be completed. No refunds will be provided.


5. Custom Orders and Bespoke Designs

Custom-made and bespoke furniture orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once production begins, as these items are specifically manufactured to your specifications. We strongly recommend reviewing your order details carefully before confirming your purchase.


6. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable:

- Items purchased on final sale or clearance
- Items damaged due to customer misuse or negligence
- Items that have been altered or modified after delivery
- Items used extensively beyond normal testing
- Delivery and assembly service charges (unless service was not provided)


7. Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued in cases where:

- The damage is minor and can be repaired
- Only a portion of the order is defective
- There are significant delays beyond our control

The refund amount will be determined on a case-by-case basis.


8. Refund for Cancelled/Undelivered Orders

If we are unable to deliver your order due to circumstances beyond our control, or if you cancel before production, you will receive a full refund (minus applicable fees for cancellations after production begins) to your original payment method.


9. Shipping Costs and Refunds

- Original shipping charges are non-refundable
- Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the item is defective or damaged
- For defective items, we will cover return shipping costs


10. Refund Disputes

If you are unsatisfied with our refund decision, you may appeal by providing additional documentation or evidence. We will review your case and respond within 7 business days.


11. Processing Time

Refunds processed through our system typically take 10-14 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider. Credit card companies may take an additional 1-2 billing cycles to reflect the refund.

13. Warranty vs. Refund

Manufacturing defects are covered under our limited warranty, which may include repair or replacement at no cost. For warranty-covered issues, refunds are not automatically issued unless repair or replacement is not possible.
